“Meaningful Supervision Shouldn’t Cost a Fortune“
Why do your supervision at Supervision Sanctuary?
Many practitioners are forced to choose between expensive psychology-type supervision or lower-quality options. I provide a middle ground: Postgraduate-level clinical expertise at a sustainable price point of:
- Individual supervision
- – $200 per session.
- Group supervision
- – $70/hr (4-6 participants)
- – $60/hr (7-10 participants)
I provide professional Clinical Supervision with the utmost confidentiality. While I hold advanced postgraduate qualifications, please note I do not provide AHPRA-regulated psychology registrar supervision. My focus is on the long-term clinical health and reflective growth of Counsellors, Social Workers, Psychotherapists and those seeking to enhance their practice while staying away from any professional body’s scrutiny.

Above-Average Qualifications & Experience. Supervisor with multiple masters-level qualifications ensures we dive deeper than basic checklist supervision into complex clinical theory and bicultural nuances. Supervision is focused often on what works and not superficial box ticking for registration.

Caulfield Location or Online. Conveniently located for in-person sessions in Caulfield, with a dedicated, quiet space designed for deep reflection. Free parking adjacent the office. Online sessions are also available for online-groups. Options are available in or out of business hours, both on week days and weekends.

Ethics & Compliance. Fully aligned with ACA/PACFA 2026 standards. I provide formal logs and annual reports for your professional body audits if requested by supervisees.

Cross-cultural Specialisation. Expertise in navigating diverse cultural backgrounds after 20 years of work with international students and growing up in a very multicultural suburb. I have also worked in culturally unique settings such as the Australian Defence Force, RTOs and WorkCover/TAC.

About the Supervisor
Meet Greg Sher.
I have not always been a counsellor and supervisor, which has served me very well in understanding people from diverse backgrounds. I have a background in everything from menial labouring roles, electronics technician, special forces operator, civilian security/body guard, rock climbing instructor, kayak guide, hypnotherapist, charity CEO, social service project developer, anger management facilitator, relapse prevention facilitator, mindfulness coach, psychologist, and counsellor. I have a passion for learning and have completed three master’s degrees (& considering a fourth). I have supervised everyone from international published senior psychologists to entry level diploma counsellors, and have undertaken my own supervision under some highly esteemed/professorial practitioners. So, I know the journey from both sides of the process. I am not just a supervisor but someone who is an active designer of clinical systems. I see supervision as a process of finding our blind spots, developing eclectic skills to be prepared for as many presentations as possible, and the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally in a safe space. I seek not to judge but help with decision making practices, education, and delving into the depths of the human psyche; so that you can move towards your goal of optimal practice.
Trusted by clinicians
I have been counselling since 1996 across such issues as military stress/trauma, post-WorkCover/TAC injury adjustment problems, vocational counselling post-injury, addictions, relationships, high/tertiary student stresses, cross-cultural spaces with international students, significant mental health challenges (e.g., psychosis, extreme violent & other antisocial tendencies, self-harmers, SOGIE issues), and the general mental health challenges of therapy (e.g., stress, anxiety, depression etc). To address this wide scope of presentations I employ an eclectic repertoire of techniques across many different therapeutic approaches, and not only CBT.
I intentionally do not belong to any professional body. Hence, no professional body can demand I report on you without your permission or provide them access to any supervision notes. Unless I am subpoenaed or obligated by law to breach confidentiality, all that happens between us in supervision sessions is kept just between us. This lets you grow both personally and professionally without fear of your supervisor reporting your every move to your professional body to protect their own registration, which can adversely impact your career and life. Our supervision groups are for those who are tired of practicing defensively, and want to grow unfettered professionally and also personally.
I have been running supervision for individuals and groups since 2014. I maintain a small practice for currency of skills and dedicate my time to supervision groups when I am not the CEO of a charity or developing therapeutic community service programs.
Testimonials
I did counselling supervision with Greg. Unlike theory-driven supervisors who aren’t practical, Greg helped me make insights in a safe place where I didn’t need to fear possibly doing things less than perfectly. I am a much better therapist for this experience. – Julie
Greg has been the best counselling supervisor I have had to date. He is direct, and we cover a lot as he asks me delving questions. Greg provides examples from his own experiences which greatly enhance my learning. I welcome the opportunity to share the session with other counsellors so I can learn about their cases as well. – Michelle D
